How do you help a friend who's parents are going through a pretty bad divorce?
I was thinking about offering to let him stay with me until the heat in his household dies down.
Right now there's a lot of anger in his life all of the time and it really seems to be effecting my friend's performance in school and sports and such.
If you could give me a couple ideas of how to help him get through it, and maybe forget about his parent's divorce for a while, that'd be great.
Thanks! How to help a friend cope with their parent's divorce?

He should talk with a school counselor and the counselor will refer him to the correct professional help if needed.
You certainly can listen and be there when he needs you BUT that does not help him solve his innermost feelings toward the situation. He needs professional help.
Sport (ear to listen shoulder to cry on etc.) reasure it was not his fault.
Tell him right now it dont seem like the best choice for them but soon it will be peaceful.
Learn from their mistakes also. So they wont think they will have a failed relation ship when they grow up.
LISTEN!!!! That really, is the very best thing to do.
If they don't want to talk, dont. But if they do, listen.
