Emotional Divorce Effects on Children?

I'm doing a reserach project on the emotional divorce effects on children and i would like your input on how many different emotional effects are afflicted on children of divorce. For example, how children emotionally cope and live with divorce, the emotional patterns they manifest throughout the divorce, how divorce emotionally affects children at school and other social insititutions, the emotional strains/burdens that the children are forced to carry towards their future adulthood, how a divorce situation at a young age can grow or expand emotional, relationship, social and psychological issues at the reach of adulthood, and how divorce affects a child's future goals and committments. Also, what statistical or demographical information can you incorporate with the above aspects? Or better yet, do you know of any website that provides accurate and comprehensive information and statistics about the emotional divorce effects on children? My kids are 4 and 1. My husband left us for another woman just over a year ago, and we're still going through our divorce. My 4 yr old is deeply troubled by what's going on. She's started wetting her bed, she cries when I take her over to her father's house, she asks me things like, ';how can dad love me but not you, when I'm like you?'; She has severe separation anxiety and often asks me if I'm ever coming back when I have to leave her somewhere. My 1 yr old doesn't know his father, and often freaks out when they're left together. I've been told he cries for me when they're at their dad's house, and the SOB doesn't comfort him at all.... Divorce is incredibly hard on children.
