Should i make this help website?

I am looking into making a website. It will be called Therap-e, as in Therapy, but the ';e'; shows how its on the internet. Its a site where you will be able to either chat one-on-one with special staff members about your problems, where they can provide useful information, or they could possibly post in a forum, where only special staff members can answer.. but everyone can read the questions to see what help other people got. Normal users can only post topics, they wont be able to reply to other peoples questions, this will reduce spam etc. The website will specialise in issues such as coping with divorce, coming to terms with your sexuality etc. What do you think? should i do the chat or forum? bear in mind the forum would be easier, but im just looking for ideas, and would any of you be willing to work on it as ';therapists'; to help other teenagers / young adults who are having problems etc :)

I think the idea is definitely interesting.


You'll have to consider a few things, though:


What are the ethical/legal implications of advertising people as ';therapists'; (who may give less-than-professional advice)?


How will you select and maintain a sufficient number of ';therapists'; to expeditiously answer the questions?


Will the inability for the average user to answer questions greatly discourage participation?


What will be your special niche?

huh, I would think a forum would be better than a direct chat room, just so that you can moderate it better
i support it and hope you follow through but don't give out all the ideas hun, ppl r theives on this internet now a dayz your gonna get down to the last page of making the site ,type the name, and a buddy has it......

what you have in mind is an awesome project, I'd say to go for it, it would be helpful for a lot of people :)
I think it's a great idea. It's reassuring to see people willing to do something to help others. I think the forum would be better, with maybe the option to a chat if the problem needs more attention or can't be solved-answer that easily. But you get to choose the person that need the chat.
Sounds like a good idea to me.
